What a trip! The hospitality of the people we met will be unmatched for a very long time. We would like to thank all of the participants in this event. It was a beautiful ride through the streets of the small towns in Maine and Bar Harbor was breathtaking. The weekend was a great success raising  $10,000.00 dollars to help pay the cost on the site plans.  We are very excited with the possibilities of breaking ground in late 2010. Again thank you to all the people that helped get us to this point, but we are far from finished so stick out your hand to your friends and family and let's keep the momentum going. We at the NFHM would like to give a special thanks to the Double D Bike Association for their assistance in the event, they drove over 14 hrs up and then back to be a part of histor and that will not soon be forgotten.

Its started out as a great day for a ride, but the clouds won the day in the long run. Most important thing was we had all 75+ riders make it to the memorial with out incident. We at the memorial would like to give a special thanks to our road captains on the ride for a job well done, from the Nam Knights MC, and Double D Bike Association. the memorial as a successful day. We distributed a lot of information to the people who chose to support us that day. There support raised a little over $3,500.00 towards the memorial.  We would like to thank the Young Marines for coming out to support the National Fallen Heroes Memorial with the event, the Young Marines had everyone's heart felt attention.  I can say there was not a dry eye in the group.  The NFHM is proud to have received an American Flag from the Young Marines and will use the flag during the ground breaking. As always thanks to everyone for supporting the NFHM and honoring all of our US Military.
